Boredom Buster 3k 4: Pointy bits

A/N: I found this baby when I was tooling around on my laptop. I can't believe I'd forgotten all about it! I'd stopped, I guess, when I got that job I had for almost a year. Well, now I'm my own boss again, so here we go! I'll try to remember what the plum was going on.

Nicholas finally has his first official day at his new job in the military line. Here, he sports his new duds with flare. Really. I hadn't noticed until now that the game gave him a feminine walk. Strut your stuff, Nick!

He comes home and finds Serena in the back working on her flower arranging skills--wearing her hospital gown. Still.

Nicholas: Hey, babe.
Serena merely looks at him in response.

Even though he's clueless, he still looks happy.

Serena tolerates him kissing her cheek.

Nicholas: So why didn't you sleep in our bed last night? I missed you.

Blame the hormones, that sets her off.

Serena: I'm not going to sleep with you anymore! I need to finish my degree! And it was sleeping with you that got me preggers in the first place.

Nicholas: You know it takes more than sleeping, right?

Serena: Ugh!

But I think Nick finally gets it.

Nicholas: Babe, I know you wanna finish your degree. Don't you know there are things we can do to prevent you from getting preggers?

Serena: You'd do that for me?

Nicholas: Do what? I was thinking you could go on the pill.

Serena: So you want me to shove hormone pills into my bloodstream in order to make my body inhospitable to pregnancy so that you can still get your freak on just the way you like it?

Nicholas (grins): Yeah.

Serena rolls her eyes: Fine.

Serena thinks that Nick is lucky he's cute.

So today, Nick does stuff to get on Serena's good side.

But when nightfall comes, she sleeps in the baby's room again.

Nicholas: What gives?

Serena: I haven't started on the pills yet.

Nick mopes his way back to the master bedroom.

Nicholas: So you saw the doctor today...

Serena: Yes, I did.

Nicholas: So when you're done with that, I have a friend in my shorts who wants to get reacquainted.

Serena: We have to wait a month. That is, unless you're willing to wear an umbrella.

Nicholas: Well, that would be uncomfortable. Wouldn't you hate the pointy bits?

Serena: I mean a condom, genius.

Nicholas: Oh. (pause) OH, I get it! Well, I don't have any.

Serena: Then you'll have to tell your friend to wait.

The next day...

Nicholas: My meant nn nn more.

Serena: Mwa?

Nicholas pulls up: I went to the store.

Serena: Congratulations.

Nicholas: I bought rain jackets. (grins)

Serena: Please tell me they're not actual rain jackets.

Nicholas: No. They're umbrellas without the pointy bits. Pokey bits, maybe, but that's only if they have some help.

Serena lets him cart her off to the bedroom.

So Nick gets to use his pokey bits.

Nicholas: Serena?

Serena: Yeah?

Nicholas: It slipped off.

Serena: WHAT?

Boredom Buster 3k 3: Burned

Serena moves in with Nicholas.

Nicholas: It'll be fine, babe. You'll see. Oh, and I got fired.
Serena: You what?

Yeah. It happens. He's no longer an NPC, so that makes him no longer the game's gym trainer. So I have him get a job in the military, thinking that would be good for someone with level 10 fitness.

Serena's first meal in the house, and she catches the stove on fire. And I decided to play in Photoshop because it makes Nicholas look like a comic book hero.

He puts out the fire before the firefighters get there. Ah well, at least they showed up.

Serena: This food is awful.

Nicholas ignores her.
Serena: Don't you taste something off about it?

Nicholas scowls. Pregnancy brain, he muses. Of course, he doesn't consider that the food could be gross because the good stove I bought them went up in flames and the best they could afford later is kinda crumby. Nope, that couldn't be the reason. >.>

Nicholas: But you ate it all anyway.
Serena: Well, of course. I'm starving. This is a very hungry baby. I'm getting as big as a house.

Nicholas: I think you look pretty.
Serena thinks he's sweet.

Then, before we know it, it's delivery time!

They set up the room for the baby, but to Nicholas' surprise, Serena decides to sleep in there with her.

Boredom Buster 3k 2: Bumpin' in the Night

I decide to have Serena move out of her tiny house (that I never got a pic of) and go to university. I guess not much interesting happens because this is the first pic I have.

It's harvest festival day (whatever it's called).

Evil gnome murderers!!! One of her roommates gets zapped by an angry gnome. Those damn little turds also leave piles of trash everywhere.

The roommate dies even though Serena tries to save her, but the roommate still attends uni and stays at the dorm and everything--like she never died. Weird.

Serena: Oh, Nicholas!

Wait, what? Nicholas invited Serena over to his house, and they kept wanting to do more. Their romance meter is maxed out, but the friendship meter is still pretty low. Guess they don't care.

They do look rather pleased with themselves. They decide to make their relationship official.

I'd made Serena a biology major because I'd wanted to do some kind of gardener thing with her, so she has a major presentation to prepare.

While she's working on it, someone shows up to watch.

Nicholas: Hey, babe.
Serena jumps and screams because she'd thought the place would've been empty at 3am.

Serena: Oh it's you. What are you doing here?
Nicholas: I just got off work and thought I'd try to find you. What's this?
Serena: My crappy presentation, but I'm working on it.

They go and get something to eat, and then he goes home. She works more on her presentation, but she gets hungry again very quickly.

That's been happening a lot lately, along with having to use the potty more frequently. It's almost as if...

Well, sh*t.
I'd forgotten I had a risky woohoo thing installed on my laptop from the last thing I was doing on it.
NOW WHAT?

Serena: Now it's time for a cookie!

Sigh. I can't help but wonder how Nick will take this. I don't make myself wait long. Of course, in order to hold his attention, she has to meet him at the gym.

Serena: Nicholas! Guess what?
Nicholas looks at her belly: Hey, babe. Maybe you should come in and, um, work out some.
Serena: I'm not getting fat.

Serena: I'm getting pregnant! I mean, I am pregnant!
Nicholas: Uh, what? If you're pregnant, who's the father?

Really, Nick? Did you honestly just go there?

Serena gives him a look like she's thinking, 'All brawn and no brains.'

Serena: You are, you dolt.

Nick pauses as if in thought.

Wait for it...

Nicholas: Hey! I'm gonna be a daddy!

I am so sorry, Serena. It's a good thing he's good looking. Kinda reminds me of Mikey, but that really is a coincidence.

Nicholas: You know what this means, right?
Serena sighs dejectedly: What?

Nicholas: You should move in with me!
Serena, a little ticked: What?
Nicholas: Well, you can't stay at that dorm, can you?

Serena: And that's another thing. I have to put my education on hold thanks to this! It's hard enough to keep up with classes without being pregnant.
Nicholas: Relax, babe. You can pick it back up again later. You'll see. It'll be fine.

Will it?

Boredom Buster 3k 1: In the Beginning

Serena Burton. Today, she's at the gym just to get out of the house. This is her staring at the gym trainer.

No idea why.

Okay, well, maybe SOME idea.

Nicholas: Three times a week is recommended, but really, if you want, you could come here every day. (*smirk*)

Serena: Uh huh.

*whoosh!* That flew right over her head. Poor Nick's attempt at trying to start up a conversation fails miserably as she just stares at him.
Yet miraculously, the next day, he calls her and asks her out...

...to the dog park. Because, um, neither of them owns a dog! Or a cat. Or even a hamster. So, they just stand outside the gate and talk.

Nicholas (who still cuts a fine figure even when he's wearing more clothing): Thanks for agreeing to meet me here today. I couldn't help but wonder if maybe yesterday you were intimidated.

Serena (giggles): Oh, no. I just liked watching you run.
Nicholas: Really? I wasn't boring you by talking non-stop about the gym?
Serena: Nope.

That makes him happy, so he gives her some huggies.

Nicholas: I must say, it felt nice to have someone as beautiful as you are watching me run.
Serena: You didn't find it odd?

Nicholas: No, I found it rather hawt. What would you say to--?

An alarm goes off on his phone.

Nicholas: Ack! It's time to go to the gym! I must leave you now.

He kisses her hand and runs off.

WELL! Well I never! This almost reminds me of the fireman career in s3 where they'd run off all the plumbing time.

Will this relationship last, or is it doomed from the start?

Just a little note: Ever since the Alexander Goth and Malcolm Landgraab hostile takeovers, I always try to start with an empty 'hood, so almost all the sims shown are game-created (with some possible editing). When too-familiar sims show up (like when I put university on my laptop), I do my best to delete them as quickly as possible.
Also, I kept this chapter short. Not sure if they'll all be this length but there ya go.
