2.2: Two-toned

The nerve of this paparazzi guy! He just waltzes right on into the house and takes pictures of Natalie while she sleeps. I obliterate him with MC.
Michelle gets a job as a private investigator. Robert gets one at the spa.

I really like this pre-designed house. Sure, the slight rocking is a bit nauseating, but I can live with it.
For some reason, I have written down that I wished there were a home-school option. I think that might be because I want to take the boat out on the water. I guess I didn't realize she'd just teleport to the nearest land spot anyway.
I also don't know why I didn't immediately send them to China, but I didn't.

     Uh, ....
I later discover this is a bug that goes away on its own. The suspected cause of it is going swimming and then going on the egg hunt. The forums say that it'll be gone by summer at the latest. In the meantime, it bugs me.

This is from me wondering if it would go away with Bryce's natural genie skin tone. Obviously not, but I still thought I'd put this pic in to show what he'd look like with the blue skin.
Incidentally, I'm starting to really like what the next generations of this town are doing with their genetics. I'm getting some nice rainbow sims! (like Scott from the last chapter)

I wonder if this little baby had anything to do with the bug. Bryce had found the prize egg. That's the prize? If you find the prize egg while wearing a swimsuit, you go two-toned?

Oh good. Here we are. China.
Natalie wishes to go to the Temple of Heaven, so I happily send her there. Then, she does this. For hours. Next, it's off to shower and sleep since they'd gotten orange.
I'm glad she has a long lifespan because if it's taking her this long to get a clue...

Next day: she wants to go to the Academy. Cool! Maybe she'll wish to learn martial arts.
Nope. Talk, work out, read. Boring.

Then it's back to base camp to eat and sleep.
Next day: she wants to go to the Forbidden City.

I admit to making her do this...hoping for a little nudging. Didn't work.

Then she wants to eat stir fry. While at the market, she wishes to buy fireworks, so she buys fireworks...and a tent...and plenty of shower in a can...and some foodstuffs, etc.

She wants to see the terra cotta army. Why do I get my hopes up?

Bryce wants to work on his logic skill. So, I send him to the park next to the academy...where all he does is play chess. No rolls to do anything else.

After some telescope time at the academy (she also wanted to work on her logic, and I hoped that being at the academy would make her wanna do simfu, obviously didn't happen), she wishes to sleep in a tomb! yay! I send her to the dragon cave.

When she wakes up, she wants to fully explore a tomb! I'm all for it! I try the rest of the dragon cave, but that doesn't get her the 'fully' thing. So, I send her to the regular tomb under the marketplace.

This one works. Plus, and even betterer bestest: SHE WISHES FOR HER LTW!!! Explore 6 tombs in each location. *big grin*

*happy dance!!*

2.1: The best wish ever

    Generation two officially begins!
Now, my short-term goal: get Natalie out of that house. To do that, I have to empty her of her saved wishes. One of them is to go to prom. A few times, I ponder if I should switch this wish with another, easier one.
By the way, I was going to get Jesse the 'young again' potion with his lifetime points. Huh. Forget it. He was only about 3k away from that, and I ditched that plan and got the family two inheritances. Plus, I did that once with what Erin had stored up.

In fact, here are the three wishes I need to take care of. If a wish came up that had to do with socializing with Bryce, I saved it. After all, it's that bottom left hand corner that's going to be the doozey.

She spends as much time as she can hanging out at Bryce's house. It's so much more peaceful at that house...even with the broken sink and dirty dishes. To think, I used to complain about that. I'll take that over constant phones and screaming babies any day.
Natalie rolls the wish to build a snowman.
Then she wants to go ice skating.

She meets this guy, who apparently shaves his head only for his outdoor wear. I think his name is Scott O'Reilly. At the time, I was thinking, 'hm...boyfriend?' She rolled wishes to do stuff with him, but I didn't keep them. I'm a woman on a mission.
Then, he ages up a few days later, and I realize that's going to be a problem for her with her extra-long lifespan giving her more teen days in addition to the other stages.

Well, I deter from that mission momentarily to have Natalie create her snowman army. "Then they'll see. They'll all see..." She has time anyway since Bryce is at work.
Michelle likes to come and destroy them almost as soon as they're done.

Just because Dad's at work doesn't mean she can't text him.
She goes to visit him later and then almost misses prom! She takes the broom there while Robert and Michelle take the limo. Robert and Michelle are crowned king and queen. Natalie doesn't care. She's got a better title: heir.

Then, Michelle gets the BEST WISH EVER! She wants to hire a butler. Bring it on!

I quickly hop into build mode and build the dude a small room. It's conveniently located next to the kitchen.

I wish they'd wished for this ages ago. This is awesome. He doesn't like it when they get in his way, but who wouldn't? He hardly gets a chance to sleep. They could probably use 2 or 3 butlers with the constant mess and demand for food, caring for babies....etc.

Natalie tells Bryce about the constant noise at the house. Bryce's shoulders slump like he misses it.
     Then...YAY! best friends. XD

Empty

I go into edit town mode and perform the move, still chuckling at myself and my loophole.

This shows up after the move. I leave them alone for two seconds...and Jesse's a cheater. ugh!

Bryce's first wish: a hog. This was one of his first wishes back in the beginning, but they couldn't afford it at the time. So, I happily give it to him this time.

Natalie wishes to make things spotless and sparkly. I put in a bed in Jesse's old room for her.
Then, THAT BUG happens again. I have wishes saved! Ugh! I'm going to have to move them. I'm SO MAD!
I go into edit town mode and put in something that can make me happy: ports and boathouses. Hopefully, they'll be able to afford the two bedroom one.

     Moving day! Bye, stupid house.
I have no idea where Bryce stashes Natalie as 'they' ride to the new house.

Yeah, it looks familiar. Like I said, I don't particularly enjoy building houses. Plus, getting them from websites has screwed up my game in the past.
Next goal: go on vacation to encourage Natalie to choose her LTW. Bryce rolls to go to China!

Generation one summary

This is really quite simple. I start with three sims. The lifespan is set to long. Erin is the founder. I chose supernatural life states to make things more interesting. Erin is a fairy; Bryce is a genie; Jesse is a witch. I move them into a house in Dragon Valley. Erin's LTW is to perform inner beauty on twelve sims and get her charisma to level ten.

Jesse gets a job as a firefighter. Erin signs up to be an alchemist. Bryce's LTW is to reach the top of the psychic (mystic branch) career path. He's not interested in working for a while, but he eventually wishes to get the job.

Things develop quickly with Erin and Bryce. I wanted to see what they'd do on their own, planning and hoping for her to have kids from both of them.

I quickly realize I need to get her the 'no jealousy' LTR because Jesse flirts too.

Then he more than just flirts.
Even though I made this Erin a family oriented sim, she has no interest in making babies. I install woohooer, but it takes me forever to figure out why it's not working right.

I work on the house, adding a second floor with hopes to one day fill it with kids. I worry that Erin will never get pregnant, and it's not that I haven't tried. I used the loophole several times that she could turn a regular woohoo wish into a try for baby wish, but it never works. So, I end up giving them ALL the fertility LTR. (bad idea, by the way!)

Erin gets pregnant. I'm thrilled. Bryce is the daddy.

She goes into labor when Jesse ages to mature adult. Life span set to long: yes, it takes that long for her to get around to making another generation.

Triplets! Michelle, Robert, and Natalie. All genies.

 Michelle

 Robert

Natalie

It's a crazy house for a while with three babies and then three toddlers. I don't want Erin to get preggers any time soon.

Which means, of course, that she does. This time, Jesse is the daddy.

Twin boys! I let Jesse name them: Zeus and Poseidon. Yeah, Jesse doesn't have an ego. ....

Zeus

Poseidon... or Sid for short.

Fertility LTR: NEVER again!

Finally, the triplets age up.

I need Erin to choose a husband now that she's had kids with both guys. I decide that the next one she talks to (not to her) wins.
Jesse.
(and I have NO IDEA what's going on with Zeus' neck! It fixed itself right after but...weird)

Bryce ain't happy. Jesse kicks his butt. Don't mess with a fireman, you crystal ball gazer!

Bryce's heart is broken.

Erin works on her LTW, creating temporarily-ugly sims all across the 'hood.

Having had time to heal, Bryce starts flirting with Erin again, even though she and Jesse are going steady.

...and then engaged.

Bachelorette party. The entertainment is firemen. I laughed and laughed at the irony. Jesse and Bryce both show up, and everyone has a good time.

The twins age to child. Yay! No more baby/toddler chaos!

Jesse's bachelor party. He only has eyes for Erin.

Then, an AWFUL bug happens in which I have to move them out. Then, I discover I can't move Bryce with them because one sim is pregnant, and that counts as two....
WHAT?!
I'd had no idea Erin was preggers again. So. Very. Angry.

After much back and forth, I build them this crap house with the blueprint thingy.

The triplets age up. That's a horrid pic of Michelle. I didn't take one after her makeover, but I gave her the same hair as toddler and child.

Time to pick an heir....I don't want it to be the new baby because I don't want to wait that long in this insanity which is about to get worse with a new baby. I narrow it down to Natalie or Sid. Then, I ask Siri to flip a coin. It lands on its side. -.- I ask again. Heads=Natalie.

So, now, I want to hurry up and finish Erin's LTW and focus on Natalie.

Then, the game pulls this crap on me. Erin has TRIPLETS AGAIN! June, May, and Julio. May is a fairy. June and Julio are witches. The household drives me nuts. The constant phones and babies crying make me crazy.

I hatch a plan... If I can get all Natalie's saved wishes gone and not put new ones in the spaces, I can move her out to live with Bryce. Barely-legal loophole.

Erin and Jesse finally get married.

Here's the triplets aged up in CAS (I didn't change what the game did with their hair and clothes)
June

May (she eventually gets wings exactly like Erin's)

Julio

Very bad pic, but Erin completes her LTW!

Now, onto Natalie!!
