2.13: Makeover city

Looks like something must've fixed the genies' ice skating. That, or it works on the rink and not the pond. Natalie ups her ice skating skill to the top, which happens ridiculously fast.

Just waiting for the "you can't go on a vacation" timer to run down.

I didn't take any pictures of this, but she has her graduation. She wears her grad gown for about 4 seconds before changing into her outerwear...then her swimsuit when she leaves the house, swims after leaving the dock, and staying in her swimsuit. Yes. She graduated in her swimsuit. I should've gotten a pic. I kept waiting for a good moment. :/ She was valedictorian and voted "Most likely to become a sports star."

That night, Larry calls her and asks her out. With a smirk, I have her say yes.

Due to the "lovely" weather they're having, he says for her to meet him at...the pool.

Then, he doesn't show up!

Oh, there he is. He just took his sweet time getting there.
He doesn't look happy.

Wow, I can really tell right now that Erin is her mom.

Natalie: What's wrong?

Larry: I had an idea. I wondered what you'd end up doing if I was late. I see you decided to start without me.
Natalie: What do you mean?
Larry: You were flirting with him.
Natalie: Who? Kristoffer?
Larry: Of course Kristoffer!
Natalie thinks Kristoffer isn't that attractive.

Or more like I don't think he's attractive. I go in and fix that.

Kristoffer: Hey, Natalie!

How do you think I did? Before is in the thought bubble. After is, well, him. Me likey.

Kristoffer: Hey, Larry. How's it going?
Larry: It'd be going a lot better if you'd stop flirting with my girlfriend.
Natalie: I'm your girlfriend?
Kristoffer: I wasn't flirting with her.

Now that it's past makeover time, Nat kinda wishes he'd been flirting with her.

Natalie: You said I'm your girlfriend.
Larry: Well, yeah. Of course you are. We're dating, right? You made me break up with Laurie.
Natalie: You've never asked me to go steady.
Larry: Don't you remember the maker made it so that I can't go steady with anyone?
Natalie: That didn't seem to stop you with Laurie.
Larry: Look, are you my girlfriend or not?
Kristoffer's head goes from one to the other like he's watching a tennis match.
Natalie: I'll think about it.
Larry sighs, irritated.
Kristoffer: Uh, Nat? I'll just go home now.
Natalie looks over at the new Kristoffer, loving the very blue eyes: Okay.

She turns back to Larry while Kristoffer gets into a nice car that I didn't get a picture of. Then, Larry and Natalie go build a snowman. Then, Larry disappears.

Then I notice Natalie's vacation timer disappeared whereas Bryce's is still there. Hm.

I send Nat to France by herself.

Funny. In order to complete a quest in China, she has to go to France and work on the Landgraab estate. Still not sure which this counts towards.

I think the count is at
France-4
Egypt-6
China-3.

Oh, I think the count for France is actually 5.

I found that somewhere. At any rate, I can just keep having her do tombs in the other two locations until she accomplishes her want. She has a really long life, after all, and unlike last generation, I do NOT plan on her having a ton of kids.

She gets the 2nd Dragon Cave keystone!

Meanwhile, back at base camp, everyone goes into a panic that the toilet is stopped up. Of course, no one does a thing about it.

Natalie finishes what she has to do in the Landgraab place, and I have her pick up another France opportunity.

France-6. No idea how I have that count. I pick up another questline because I forgot that I can't do that now that she has 6. I think, at the time, I thought she had 4 or 5.

She's investigating more of the nectary when this message pops up:

"A strange message blows through the breeze... 'The three greatest possessions of the Pharaohs. Stolen and never returned. They glimmer and sparkle with the radiance of life."

Weeeeeeeeeird.
And they have serious issues with sentence fragments. When I do them, it's on purpose. I doubt they screwed up on purpose because they screw up all the time (nauseous).

I realize she's had visa level 3 this whole time, and I buy her my favorite vacation home in France. I had it in an old legacy that got melted with a hard drive fail. Glad to have it again.

Here are pics of a little adjustment done to it:
I wanted to be able to access the 3rd floor, so the ladder works really well. I'll slowly make improvements to it as needed. I may have to build a fence because the paparazzi are getting on my last nerve. I opted out of the celebrity system for the active household, but I don't think that affects any sim who is already a celeb. Grrrrr.

Then, I make over another sim: Yves Bernard, the bookshop owner. Niiiiicce. I'm really enjoying this beefy processor I have.

Picking a spouse for Natalie is going to be hard...

2.12: Freak out for a little while

Whoa! Look! It's me! Back again!

Of course, if you just happen to be reading this ages from now, this is just the next chapter and you have probably no idea why I just put that.

It has been over 2 years since I last posted on this story. Lots has happened, but this isn't about my life.

On with the story!

Okay, so I log back in to this save.

I'm on a new computer.
Oh, it looks like I'd forgotten that Natalie aged to adult.

Natalie aged to adult.

Somewhere, I have pictures, but I have no idea exactly where they are, and I don't feel like waiting the 5 billion years for that computer to boot up and allow me to search.

There's a party. Apparently, in loading the save into the game, that shoved everyone into one little spot on the front porch, and they all freak out for a little while. Can't say I blame them.

Natalie with Ben Seal. Hm. They're romantic interests. Larry Pleasant has been seen "arm in arm" with many other women. Besides, I'm not 100% set on him so far. Nat has tons of time.

Natalie: Why am I so cold?
Ben: Could it be that your midriff is showing? (smiles)

Ben: You see, when you don't wear your outerwear outside, you start to freeze.
Natalie: But the last thing I knew, I was standing inside.

LOOK! I haven't seen that gnome before. And I know gnomes. Guess not as much as I thought, though.

---------------------------
Then, the game crashes. I'm playing on a NEW ALIENWARE computer! I have no idea why it crashed. So I huff and restart the game.

Screw the party. I send Bryce and Natalie to China to work on her LTW.

Then, as I'm building them a vacation home (now that she's an adult, she can finally buy one!), my power goes out! I can't win! An hour later, I'm back in the game.
--------------------------------------

I buy the plot of land again and quickly build a kind of lame house. Then, I send Nat to the market in hopes that she gets wishes to do tomb stuff.

She goes swimming.

This is Liu Pei ^^. He's the general goods dude, and he and Nat immediately notice each other (re-notice? I don't remember). Well, this is him post makeover.

Natalie visits him in his store, still wearing her swimsuit. They chat it up.

He likes the suit, I think.

First night in Lame House, maybe the 2nd, but already they get a burglar! WTH?
(cue trill music)

Alright, so I have the two of them go into the main room to fight her off. That's not an option! Oh, sure, they can do genie stuff and friendly stuff like show her cat videos, but they can't fight her off. Nope. They all stand there and freak out about the alarm and that there's a burglar. No one can do anything.

Where is the officer?!

Humph. Taking his sweet time getting to the house. I knew I picked a spot for the view, but I didn't think the long path was going to be a problem. I wasn't expecting robbers.

Sorry so dark a pic. Working on downloading Adobe stuff to this computer as I type this.

Bryce (giving the stink eye): This is all your fault. We can't sleep. We can't eat. That thing won't shut up.

Notice the microwave. In building Lame House, I forgot to put in a kitchen. Yes. I forgot a kitchen. And I'm too lazy to go in and fix it at this moment. I also find out that you can't sit a microwave on top of a mini-fridge and them be able to work the microwave. Irritating. That worked in S2. Maybe OMSP... hm.

Bryce: Took you long enough.
Cop Dude arrests woman.
Natalie, about to starve, grabs what looks like purple plasma juice.

And now I see where I'd written that they needed to leave Shang Simla in order to further a quest elsewhere. I guess that means that Natalie did eventually make some wishes to explore.

But I can't send them home. Edit Town isn't available or whatever nonsense it told me.

Because of this. She's waiting to be put into the squad car. Then, the police officer WALKS to the house to say nothing was stolen (duh).

This is him leisurely strolling back to his car, almost as if he's enjoying the fact that I'm waiting on him.
------------------------------
So, I get in some good saves and get this story rolling again! I'm happy. I kinda missed the unpredictable insanity. :)

New Mac 9 - The immortal fruitcake

Candace returns home in her hospital gown even though she'd changed out of it as soon as Brody was born was she was still at the hospital. I don't know why I expect the game to make sense.

The Welcome Wagon shows up, and someone leaves a fruitcake where no one can get to it. I decide not to worry about it just to see what will happen. Hehe.

I'm starting to think the neighbor might be preggers.

Sweet little sleeping Brody.

Hey, what's this?

Oh! Instead of digging rocks, they go through dirty cardboard boxes to get collectible crap. That's... realistic.

Interesting...a goal. >:) I might actually go for this.

Well, either she's preggers or shoplifting a volleyball.

Brody age up!
What? I didn't get a good picture of him?
:P

Here's another not-so-great shot of him. Hehe. I'll make a quick video:

I've changed the video capture settings to the highest it can be, but the clips I have still have the lower settings. Just thought I'd put it in here that I do know the resolution is crap.

If you look closely, you can see the fruitcake next to the elevator. :)

New Mac 8 - Doodahs

As you all saw in the last update, the happy couple got married! Then I see how Sal has the whim to "Get to Know" Candace, and I'm like, 'What?! What do mean he doesn't know her?' Then, I check.

NOPE! He doesn't know her. -.- Like, really? As much interactions they've had and the AI didn't take care of that for me? Plus, that awful date they went on didn't count as far as he's concerned, so he's behind on the LTW thing.

Oh, and I saw that he'd been flirting with that woman Candace works with that is also after Cory. Slut.
pfffffhhhahahahahahahaha

Awwwww..... they're getting married. Wait. We already know this. hehe. It was taking this shot that caused me to have just ONE audio take in the sequence. Nothing like a 'blink' sound to screw everything up.

LOL. I just wiped at my screen wondering what that graffiti stuff was. hahahahahaha.

I have no idea why I'm saving this shot and even less of an idea why it's in the chapter other than to show how badly Candace needs to pee.

OH! Now I remember why. It's Sal's expression in his doodad. He's hilarious at "very flirty."

They move. And yes, they're still wearing their pj's. I took this pic to show the doodahs that are attached to the apartment.

I just bought this expansion pack too, btw. It was on sale and I'm only just recently playing sims at all again.

It's that time again, and Sal does the freakout dance. Oh, and Candace looks terrible if that's considered maternity clothing.

I like this shot. It's awful. I don't know why I like it, but I do.

And since I'm still toying around in iMovie...

Here are some stills I got that also give the highlights of the birth:

Sal actually looks calm here.

Candace waiting for the doodah to get the baby out.

I like the word doodah. Can you tell?

Good dads have panic attacks, right?

Welcome to the world, Brody Caballero.
