New Mac 9 - The immortal fruitcake

Candace returns home in her hospital gown even though she'd changed out of it as soon as Brody was born was she was still at the hospital. I don't know why I expect the game to make sense.

The Welcome Wagon shows up, and someone leaves a fruitcake where no one can get to it. I decide not to worry about it just to see what will happen. Hehe.

I'm starting to think the neighbor might be preggers.

Sweet little sleeping Brody.

Hey, what's this?

Oh! Instead of digging rocks, they go through dirty cardboard boxes to get collectible crap. That's... realistic.

Interesting...a goal. >:) I might actually go for this.

Well, either she's preggers or shoplifting a volleyball.

Brody age up!
What? I didn't get a good picture of him?
:P

Here's another not-so-great shot of him. Hehe. I'll make a quick video:

I've changed the video capture settings to the highest it can be, but the clips I have still have the lower settings. Just thought I'd put it in here that I do know the resolution is crap.

If you look closely, you can see the fruitcake next to the elevator. :)

New Mac 8 - Doodahs

As you all saw in the last update, the happy couple got married! Then I see how Sal has the whim to "Get to Know" Candace, and I'm like, 'What?! What do mean he doesn't know her?' Then, I check.

NOPE! He doesn't know her. -.- Like, really? As much interactions they've had and the AI didn't take care of that for me? Plus, that awful date they went on didn't count as far as he's concerned, so he's behind on the LTW thing.

Oh, and I saw that he'd been flirting with that woman Candace works with that is also after Cory. Slut.
pfffffhhhahahahahahahaha

Awwwww..... they're getting married. Wait. We already know this. hehe. It was taking this shot that caused me to have just ONE audio take in the sequence. Nothing like a 'blink' sound to screw everything up.

LOL. I just wiped at my screen wondering what that graffiti stuff was. hahahahahaha.

I have no idea why I'm saving this shot and even less of an idea why it's in the chapter other than to show how badly Candace needs to pee.

OH! Now I remember why. It's Sal's expression in his doodad. He's hilarious at "very flirty."

They move. And yes, they're still wearing their pj's. I took this pic to show the doodahs that are attached to the apartment.

I just bought this expansion pack too, btw. It was on sale and I'm only just recently playing sims at all again.

It's that time again, and Sal does the freakout dance. Oh, and Candace looks terrible if that's considered maternity clothing.

I like this shot. It's awful. I don't know why I like it, but I do.

And since I'm still toying around in iMovie...

Here are some stills I got that also give the highlights of the birth:

Sal actually looks calm here.

Candace waiting for the doodah to get the baby out.

I like the word doodah. Can you tell?

Good dads have panic attacks, right?

Welcome to the world, Brody Caballero.

New Mac 7 - My first attempt at movie editing!

No pics today. I played with iMovie and got this from several clips. One transition I absolutely hate, but I wanted that expression badly enough. That, and I don't like the lack of headroom.

Anyway... It's cute.

New Mac 6 - Crossing the line

Not the best establishing shot. I should've gotten a picture of them standing in front of Salvador's house, but that house is so well known to people who play sims4 that you all should be able to know which house is his by looking at the rest of the street.

Salvador: You said there was something you needed to tell me.

(looking at the picture, Candace is apparently double-jointed in her fingers...ouch)

cheap zoom-shot. Hehe. Sorry.

Salvador: Oh! She finally un-paused us.
Candace: Yay! We can move again!

(I paused them again, obviously, to get the shot.)

Candace: I have some news.
Salvador: Good, I hope.
Candace: That depends on you.

Salvador: What's that supposed to mean?

Crossing the line to create a sense of uneasiness.
Apparently, this is something you just don't do (unless, of course, on purpose to break the rule). I used to do this all the damn time just to have more variety in my shots. I mean come on, we're not that stupid that we can't tell that the background is different therefore we're just on the other side of the characters, but yeah. Maybe it's not a huge deal because this is nothing but a collection of stills.
-Rant temporarily over.-

Candace: Only that this could make or break our entire relationship after this point.

Btw, I have to give Sal major props for not mentioning anything about Candace's sudden weight gain.

Salvador: Meaning?
Candace: I'm pregnant.

Salvador: Yes! I was hoping that's what it was!

Perhaps I gave him props too soon. At least he did refrain from saying anything until after she told him.

Then Salvador gets all mushy. I don't really have do write dialogue for that, do I?

And he gets mushy about the baby too.

Candace: Oh, sure. You get to have all the fun while I'm miserable and huge.
Salvador: Then let me take better care of you. Move in with me.

Candace: Let's move in to my house. I have two bedrooms.

So, it's decided. They move into Candace's house.

A whole chapter of shots with only a few minutes of gameplay. :)

New Mac 5 - Not since Sims 2

What a crazy day at school. I had to go out and do field reporting for the first time EVER! At least I got to stay BEHIND the camera since my project partner wants to be an anchor.

Hey! Look! Salvador is back! She gets invited to a party by Mitchell, and I make Sal come along too.

Um... Looks like he got over Bob Pancakes flirting with her. And neither of them mind having an almost-audience. I love watching the innocent bystanders' reactions.

Okay, guys. Enough is enough. Move along and quit playing voyeur.

Since Candace has been making a little more dough, I did a little shopping to make life easier. Next, I hope, is the kitchen.

Yeah, so.... uh.... /clears throat
Whoops. I was just messing around with the "try for baby." It's Salvador's.

That day at work:
Girl (I didn't write down her name!): Is it Cory's?
Candace: Is what Cory's?
Girl: That bump. Sims don't get that fat that fast since Sims 2.
Candace (obviously irritated): Excuse me?

Girl: Oh, come on. We both know you're pregnant. I'm just saying that if it's Cory's, you should tell him.
Candace (rolls eyes): Fear not. It's not Cory's. He's all yours.
Girl: I have no idea what you're talking about. I was just saying--
Candace: You were just wondering if Cory was available because you want him for yourself.
Girl: That's not what I'm wondering. I'm only--
Candace: Butting into my business. Relax. I'm going to tell the father after work.

Apparently, Candace has a habit of interrupting. Well, to be fair, that girl was kind of hem-hawing away and not really saying what she meant. I mean, who does that? Oh. Wait. Almost everyone. :P

Bugger. I have to stop it now because I just found out I have to get up at 4am for something. Goodie. -.-

Next time: We find out Sal's reaction! Will he be happy or will he be suspicious and wonder if it's really his?

New Mac 4 - Pancakes ruin everything!

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...
I finally have Candace just GO OVER to the other guy that I made's house. I can't remember his name.

Yet again, Candace wonders if he's her true love.

Turns out it doesn't matter because she's not there five seconds before he leaves for work.

HE went and got himself a job. Sal hasn't yet. Still.

To make her feel better, I let Candace and a few other sims go have a spa day. They announce a yoga class, so I go have her spend some hard earned money when Salvador calls and asks her on a date. I'd had to turn him down once before, but since today's Saturday, I say yes.

They meet at that bar. You know the one.
*Where everybody knows your name...*
Except Brooke because she sucks at names!

I put all that up there (not the Cheers reference) to explain why she's in her workout attire.

While we're on the subject of attire... I put together five outfits for each of these guys and I think we've only seen Salvador in outfit #1. (that means number one, not hashtag)

Things go great! I change her outfit, and since I'm picking it, I pick something besides #1.

Then, Bob Pancakes flirts with her.

And Salvador gets mad at HER!
SHE'S not the one doing the flirting. Granted, she didn't exactly tell him to fluff off, but she's friendly.

At least he IS glaring at Bob Pancakes now. He's probably thinking something like, Pancakes ruin everything.

Hehe. Now I'm going to make like Salvador has a personal vendetta against pancakes... of all kinds! I hope I get to play Salvador and that everything isn't ruined now.

He sits there and pouts as he looks at Candace.

The lady between them is completely clueless.

The date ends.

Salvador: Don't call me. Like, ever.

:(

Man, forget him. I'm gonna have Candace meet other people.

/sigh
Oh, Paolo. He's always a favorite of mine.

Others from Get Together show up at the bar, and I have her talk to everyone. The dude with the brown hair and goatee is a game-created townie, I think. The one trait she's found out about him so far is mean. Hm. Even though he talks to her frequently (I haven't shown it in pics), I don't think he's a contender.

She gets home, and I have her return home and have Salvador already at the lot.

It's a disaster. He's still in the 'very sad' mood, so everything is a bust. Their relationship meter starts to plummet.

Salvador: I just can't look at you right now.
Candace closes her eyes, totally bummed out.

Wait. That's me that's bummed out. I'd really started getting attached to Sal. Maybe I can rekindle the relationship, but for now, we're gonna see about playing the field some.

Wait, what? Don Lothario? I don't that's the direction we wanna go, Candace.

Candace?

Hey, Candace?

CANDACE!
